Decoupage Kit

Decoupage Kit contain:

* 120ml Modge Podge
* 2×120ml Antique Crackle ( 1 base coat & 1 top coat) magic touch
* 50 ml Seal Skin
* 2 Disposable sponge applicators
* Sanding block & Water paper also included
* Heritage craft colour
* Heritage Magic Touch Guilding Paste

Instructions:
1. Choose and paint your item
* Choose a clean and dust-free item to decoupage. Sand painted or varnished items before painting.
* Paint the item with a coat of Heritage Acrylic Paint using the Sponge Applicator.
* Let the paint dry. For a professional finish, paint the item with a second coat and allow to dry.
* Feel free to repeat these steps until you are satisfied with your work.
* Wash the Sponge Applicator in warm, soapy water when you are finished painting.nd

2. Cut your pictures out
* Find some pictures that you like.
* We suggest you use special decoupage paper.
* A good alternative to specialised decoupage paper is printed napkin paper.
* Carefully cut the pictures out while waiting for your paint box to dry.
* If you use printed napkins, make sure to separate and use only the prented layer.

3. Sand the item after painting it
* Make sure your painted item is totally dry.
* Wrap the Waterpaper around the Sanding Block.
* Gently wet-sand the item until you feel that it is completely smooth.
* Feel free to sand your item between coats for a ultra-smooth effect, but make sure that your paint is completely dry before sanding.

4. Place your pictures
*Use the Sponge Applicator to apply Modge Podge to the places where you want to place your pictures.
* Carefully place the pictures and smooth out the bubbles with your fingers.
* Paint over everything with two more coats of Modge Podge, allowing the Podge to dry between coats.
* Wash your sponge in warm, soapy water.

5. The antique crackle
* Paint the whole item with the Antique Crackle Base Coat from left to right. Allow to dry fully.
* Paint the item again with the Base Coat, but in a different direction. Allow to dry fully.
* When the Base Coat is completely dry, it's time for the Top Coat.
* Don't be shy: brush on a thick, even layer of Antique Crackle Top Coat and wait for the magic to begin.
* If the weather is cold, it can take up to 24 hours for the cracks to appear. Don't cheat with a hair-dryer!

6. The magic touch
* It's not easy to see the cracks yet, but don't worry: they are there!
* To bring the cracks out, put some Magic Touch on a cloth and ru it thoroughly info the cracks.
* Wait for 10 minutes  for the Magic Touch to do it's magic, and then wipe off the excess.
* TIP: use a spot of Turpentine on a cloth to help remove the excess Magic Touch.

7. Use Heritage Seal Skin to seal and protect
* Heritage Seal Skin is a very tough solvent-based varnish and sealer.
* Use the second disposable Sponge Applicator for this job.
* Again, don't be shy with the Seal Skin. Once the first layer has dried, do another 2 or 3 or 4 layers.
* Congratulations: you are now an experienced Decoupeur!
